Who we are

The Ellesmere Port and Neston Talking Newspaper is run by an entirely voluntary group of people. Prior to the COVID pandemic, up to 24 volunteers used to meet each Thursday evening to help produce the week’s edition of our talking newspaper. However during the lockdown we had to adapt and learn a whole new set of skills in order to allow us to produce the Newspaper’s weekly editions from the safety of our homes.

Since lockdown has lifted we’ve kept this streamlined approach and now a team of 14 volunteers work together to provide this free weekly audio service. Each week we collate the local news in addition to a collection of stories as well as items of interest we think our listeners would enjoy, some of which include articles from the Talking Newspaper Federation.
